Neumann Sound Engineering Contest, Berlin, 2nd place

Neumann, the German microphone manufacturer, has organized a recording engineering contest, as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations, in 1998.
From among over 1500 international contestants, my friend and colleague Szabó László and Tius (INITA) have won second place. Neumann has hosted them for three days in Berlin and Hannover, and have presented them with their prize, an M-149 tube microphone set, at a spectacular closing night ceremony held at the Berlin Wintergarten.
The picture shows László (right) in the company of the Swedish winner, and the 3rd placer German lady, with the Neumann CEO and the PR Manager smiling behind the winners.
